Book of Remembrance

DEADLINE: Tuesday, September 10
TEMPLE BETH-EL BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE 5785- 2024

The Temple's Book of Remembrance will once again be distributed at our Yom Kippur Yizkor service, which this year will take place on Saturday, October 12. This is a fitting way to remember our loved ones who have died.

The first section will list their names, together with the names of those who remember them.

The second section will list the names inscribed on the memorial plaques.

A fitting way to honor the memory of our loved ones is by combining the observing of Yizkor (remembering our dead) with the mitzvah (commandment/good deed) of tzedakah (giving because it is the right and just thing to do).

An appropriate tribute at the time of Yizkor is to donate an amount in a multiple of "chai" ($18). The numerical equivalent of the Hebrew word "chai", which means "life", is 18.

If you would like to include the names of your deceased loved ones in the Temple's Book of Remembrance, please fill out this form and return to:
