Kurt & Tessye Simon Fund For Holocaust Remembrance

Mission Statement:

The Kurt and Tessye Simon Fund for Holocaust Remembrance at Temple Beth-El in South Bend, Indiana is dedicated to developing educational resources for raising awareness of the Holocaust among both the Jewish and non-Jewish communities.

The Fund was created in the hope that all people can learn to protect one another
from prejudice, hate and violence.

The primary objective of the Fund for Holocaust Remembrance is to foster
through education, teaching and learning historical facts and values dealing with the Holocaust.

The purpose of this objective is to enable present and future generations to remember and immortalize the six million Jews and millions of others who died during the infamous German Nazi period.

By keeping alive the memory of the victims we prevent a recurrence of such barbarism.  Their stories teach us that such degradation and evil should never happen again.
